Home Services: Painting
Painting the interior or exterior of your home can completely transform it, but don’t think it’s always a quick or easy task. Before you can start, you have to pick the perfect color, choose the paint finish, research techniques, think about textures, purchase the right brushes, prime, and then paint.

Interior Painting: A Brand New Look for Minimal Cost
Is your home’s to-do list exhausting and overwhelming? Invest in a residential painter, because a little paint packs the biggest punch when making over a space. There’s no need for a messy renovation or major home overhaul; let paint revive your home! But leave this job to a painting professional to ensure the job gets done right.
Improve Your Curb Appeal and Resale Value with New Exterior Paint
Curb appeal is everything! Whether you’re selling your home or you just moved into a fixer-upper, making sure the exterior of your home is up-to-date and aesthetically pleasing is highly important. If you’re looking to paint your siding, stucco, or shakes, freshen up exterior brick, or simply paint your front door, The house Painting Pro. Services makes it easy for you to find a local painter for all your painting needs. But remember there are more exterior paint options than just the surface of your home. Find a local painter and ask about concrete paint, deck paint, and garage floor paint.
Painting Techniques: What You Should Know
With so many home exterior materials, drywall textures, and wood finishes, it’s hard to determine what paint technique you should use. That’s where a professional painter can help. A residential painter will know what paint sheen's to use, when to sand trim between coats, and the best brands to use for the job, which makes it a hassle-free experience for you.
Painting Trim for Woodwork
Painting your chipped, scratched, and old trim is a serious chore, but it’s the perfect way to upgrade your home. Not only is painting trim time consuming, but it requires a steady hand, the right paint, and the correct brush. This labor-intensive job requires a professional’s expertise to tape, sand, fill wood, and apply a smooth finish to your woodwork.
Painting Kitchen Cabinets: Instantly Refresh Your Kitchen
Upgrade your outdated cabinets with a new coat of paint. To ensure a properly finished look, there are a number of steps to follow. Before painting make sure you clean, sand, and prime every surface you’re planning to paint. This guarantees that your paint will stick appropriately. Next, you’ll need to tape off any back-splash, flooring, or surface you don’t want to drip paint on. Don’t forget to remove all of the hardware, too! The next step is sanding, then priming, then sanding again, and finally you are ready to paint. If this task seems too overwhelming, find a local House Painter Pro to paint the cupboards for you.
Refinishing Hardwood Floors: Leave It to the Pros
Do you love the charm of your old, hardwood floors? Bring them back to life by refinishing them! This isn’t a DIY we recommend tackling by yourself. Just because you can rent a floor sander doesn’t mean you should be refinishing your hardwood floors. A mistake could be very costly, so don’t risk it. Find an expert who specializes in restoring old wood flooring. They’ll know how to test for adhesion, sand, clean, prime, buffer, and stain for a high-quality finish.
Not All Paint Brands Are Created Equal
With so many paint brands to choose from, we recommend consulting an expert to choose the best option for you. Some of the top paint brands include Benjamin Moore, Behr, Glidden, Rust-Oleum, Minwax, Valspar, Dutch Boy, Sherwin-Williams, Pratt & Lambert, Dunn-Edwards, and more.
The Best Paint Finishes for Your Project
There are five basic paint finishes to think about when painting you space. The most important thing to remember is that the higher the sheen, the higher the shine, and the higher the shine, the more durable the paint is. If you need something extremely durable, use a high gloss. Flat, also known as matte, has no shine at all, which is the hardest to keep clean. In between these two extremes are eggshell, satin, and semi-gloss. All three of these middle sheens have a specific use. Do you know what sheen should go where? Make sure you’re using the correct paint finish by contacting The House local painting pro. They’ll know just which paint finish is best for your project.

PREPARING YOUR HOUSE FOR PAINTING
Prep work is one of the most important steps to any home painting project. It’s extremely important that it is done correctly to ensure quality. At The Local House Painting Pro, we take our prep work very seriously! We make sure that your home is perfectly prepared for the paint and will look fantastic in the end.
PULLING BACK ROCKS
We make sure that all rocks and landscaping are pulled away from the walls in order for us to paint below the surface of your landscaping. This also helps us to protect your landscaping as much as possible from being painted during the painting process.
PRESSURE WASHING
Pressure washing is done to the entire home! This is the first step of the prep work process and it removes any loose paint, dirt, debris, pollutants, and—primarily—chalking. Chalking is the degradation of the old paint that will leave a chalk-like residue. With our pressure washing process, we make sure that the entire home is cleaned and ready to be painted.
STUCCO & DRYWALL REPAIR
As a part of the prep work process, our painting crews will make repairs to stucco and drywall. We will identify any areas in the structure that have been damaged, and correct the areas with necessary repair work.
SCRAPING & DRYLOK®
Along the stem walls, we make sure that we scrape off any old paint and apply DRYLOK®. This waterproofs the area, so no moisture can absorb through the soil around the house that would cause the paint to fail.
REMOVING ALL FIXTURES
In order to give you added protection, we make sure to remove all fixtures around the areas that will be painted. Thanks to this step, should you ever want to replace the fixture, your old paint won’t show through where the fixture used to be. We also make sure we document all of the fixtures that are removed from the home so that every item is accounted for.
MASKING
The masking process ensures that objects and areas around your home are well-protected before the paint process begins. The following areas will be masked:
-
pool decking
-
windows
-
pools
-
BBQs
-
cement driveways and walkways
-
security doors
-
stain-grade doors
PRIMER
Our crew will prime any raw structuring of your home—including wood, stucco, and drywall—to ensure a strong base for the paint to adhere to. The priming step is crucial to creating a quality paint job.
PAINT IS APPLIED
We use paint that is built to last during the brutal Arizona summers. To ensure you are happy with your results for years to come, we provide a 7-year warranty on all of our work. We follow all PDCA standards to give you a paint job that is free from any defects or variations in paint application, which leaves you with nothing but the absolute best quality
JOB WRAP-UP
After we have finished painting the exterior of your home, we will begin putting back any items or fixtures that were removed to complete our initial work. We reference any images or videos taken, and place all inventory back exactly the way it was when we arrived on the job site.
FINAL INSPECTION
After all of our work is complete and we have finished our job wrap up, we will do one last walkthrough with you right by our side. We want all of our customers to leave happy with our work and service, so it is important to us that we take one last look at the work in detail.
